How can I conquer my fear of driving?

by FearLessDoMore on January 12, 2012

Im 26 almost 27 years old. I live on my own, am single and have a ok job. Not the best, but I get by. However, I dont have a car since I dont have my license yet. I plan on getting it this coming year. I have procrastinated on it too long and I realize it must be done! I live in the city and ride the metro but I hate it. Ive realized my career choices are limited if I dont obtain one. :/ I just don’t want to struggle anymore. So how can I build up my confidence in driving, so I can finally conquer my fears of this?
I accidentally put it under aircraft. Lol Instead of transportation I see. But thanks for the advice.

The only advice I can think of, is when you first start out behind the wheel, try heading out of the city a bit and driving on roads that are slightly less busy. As your confidence increases, drive on busier roads.

Also, unless you plan on flying a helicopter into work or something, you may want to take this off the "Aircraft" section…
