start on somethin small. Maybe try some water rides first. If your like me you HATE the drop, so find the ride thats right for you and pick one that’s lots of fun but a small drop. I also found that water rides seem to be less scary and it helped me slowly get used to the thrill and speed of amusement park rides. Also when you get on your first rollercaoster trick ur mind into thinkin u like them…try not to be too scared it will only make it worse. Just keep thinkin it will be over in less than 30 seconds so just hold on until eventually u’ll get used to it.

Good Luck!!!!

Go with someone..maybe a best friend or someone that can be there…It’s ok to be scared..Over time u will get over it..if u keep going on them and face ur fears

well, keep experimenting different things when u on,close eyes, hold ur breath, etc.

Start with smaller coasters b4 u go on upside down ones

Just keep riding them! try it blind folded, and then you don’t have to see it, you can just get familiar with the feeling of it. Then when you’re ready, take off the blind fold.

well if going to a theim park just work your way up to the biggest roller coaster like i did but whats ther eto lose when you get on a roller coaster why be scared your not going to die it gives you a rush when you get on a big one

It’s simple. Don’t be scared of falling off. Those rollercoasters are very secure. I personellely don’t like the drops, because i cant breath. That is only like 3 seconds though.

get hypnotized so you forget why you are afraid of them. Then go onto an easy one with an open mind and try to enjoy yourself. Then start moving up to the big ones.

It’s not like its a debilitating fear anyway.

Just say to youself "That was awsome" and "I want to do that again"
If you show it you will feel it and thats what you should do.
Don’t tell anyone your scared because then you will tell yourself your scared.
Never look down either if you are scared.
Over time this should help!
Good luck and scream like a real girl would.

Idk,
You tell me!!!
I have a fear w/’em too…Idk what to do cause I cant even ride kiddie rides!!!
I tried this Wooden Roller Coaster @ Indiana Beach once when we visted there and THAT wasnt bad, especially w/friends!!!

Just dont jump to The Beast or anything!!!
Try water rides too, cause I can SORTA ride those…

I’m w/ya on the fear factor though….

=[
Good luck!

Of course you fear roller coasters. That’s what makes them great. Just keep getting on, scream like a demon, have the gageebeez scared out of you, hang on like your life depended on it, and enjoy the adrenalin rush when it’s over.

Whatch the first 10-25 minutes of final destination 3. IT HELPS ALOT TRUST ME. Even Sony reccommends it.

easy, just close your eyes on a roller coster and focus on something else, soon you won’t even notice that your afraid, thats how i conquered my fear lol

Christina C 01.01.10 at 12:13 am

just pick one (that doesn’t go upside down) get on and SCREAM!!!!!!!!!!! thats the best way

steezbeez 01.01.10 at 12:13 am

go on the smaller ones first then move up to the bigger ones
if u want u can close your eyes so that it will feel like ur in a fast car haha
they are not as scary as they look
the most scariest part is waiting in line
you only have one life live it to the fullest!

when you first get on and when its going up the lift hill, take a deep breath. then exhale when your going down the hill. It also helps to go on the smaller coasters first before you get to the big ones.

Try small coasters, like kiddie coasters (as sad as that sounds) and work your way up.

Because of my ex, im now DEATHLY afraid of roller coasters. So now, im slowly working my way up (I work at Six Flags Great Adventure, so after work I see what I’ll ride.) So far, I’ve ridden Skull Mountain, The Dark Knight, The Runaway Mine Train, and im seriously considering moving up to Batman or Superman.

I think it works. Im slowly getting over my fears.
