I used to struggle with lust allot in my younger years, and since then I have become a complete purist. However, now I find myself afraid of any physical contact with women because I’m afraid I’ll lust after them. Like, I’m afraid to hug them. The most I’ll do is extend a handshake.

You must win a fight against one
Part of being a human is the ability to control your actions. Just control them. I doubt you’ll jump on her and dry hump her like a dog does to someone’s leg. You’re not instinctual and you can think. Just take things moment by moment. Try concentrating throughout the hug and after a couple times, it will be cake.
By the way, lust isn’t always a bad thing. How do you think people came to be in the first place?
Have sex.
You should be able to appreciate the beauty of a woman without raping her I assume… having sexual thoughts about someone is not a crime. If you think it is, then you might have to isolate yourself to avoid having these feelings.
Each time the brain resists a temptation, it’s like a muscle gets used, and the more you have to resist something, that muscle will get tired… good luck.
why are you trying to keep in your natural emotions, all you’re doing is driving yourself crazy. Stop being such a do-gooder and just do what your body tells you to do.
You place women above God. Please note that women are nothing but just human beings. Sex is a natural feeling and it is equally applicable for man and woman. A woman can not live without a man and they need man more than man needs them. Think of this matter deeply and bring the place you have given for women to a lower stage. They should be beneath you and never even parallel to you. Once you have a women on bed, you will recognize your foolishness.

If hugging women makes you lust, then don’t do it. They understand. Honestly, I have wondered about preachers that hug too much myself. There is even a possibility that they could accidently make me lust. I’m sure they wouldn’t mean to, but the risk is there.
Some people struggle with that urge more than others. For people who don’t have to, Good for them. They are blessed with a wonderful gift. I feel vulnerable about hugging and touching too much, because I just have a body with stronger urges, so I protect myself from too much touching.
You don’t. Fear is the only thing that will save you.
