How responsible are we for our own fear and what would your life be like without fear?

by FearLessDoMore on July 21, 2010

To conquer death we only have to die, but how do we conquer fear?. Can fear exist in the presence of love? Do we have to "die" to our God or our spiritual nature in order to be free? How do you think your life would be different if you were not dictated to by your fears, or are you already free?

the main things that run our life are fear and greed.
either we desire something or we have fear. desire is born out of fear. we perceive a lack in our life, then desire to fulfill the hole comes up. the greed to fulfill the desire is accompanied by fear.
this goes on and on until we die.
we can "die" even while alive. this means, to detect the souce, the permanent, changeless awareness that perceives fear and greed happening in our minds.
fear and greed happen in mind. they are away from the present moment. if we would be fully aware of the present moment, no lack would be perceived. but we are hanging round in mind all the time.
then we think about the past or future and desires and fears come up. we constantly project our past memeories into the future. we reproduce the past that has already happened and repeat it over and over again, in different garments.

liberation means to live in the present moment. now. to be aware of the present moment. noone can teach you how to be in the present moment, for you are always here and now in the present moment. only thing that can be done, is to remind you, make you aware of this truth.
then, when you are aware in the present moment, you can consciously watch the mechanisms behind greed and fear.

start to write down on a piece of paper all that scares you. on another paper write down all your desires, the fulfilled and the unfulfilled ones.
then consciously watch what happens. all that you have written down is a fantasy, an idea, a thought from past or future. look what happened when a desire was fulfilled. the greed to fulfill the desire was driving you, but after fulfiling there was emptiness.

liberation means to be consciously aware of fear in the present moment. fear can happen in the body, no problem. it becomes a suffering when you resist it, not when you simply allow it to happen. fear and greed are transient, they never stay forever, you are here always to watch them come and go.
it is a myth, that they rule you. you allow them to hypnotize you, that is all.
fear and greed are changing, transient, they come and go. but you are that consciousness awareness, in which fear happens.

watch this for yourself in your life if it is true…

be aware…

someone who consciously lives in the present moment is liberated. no fear, no greed can impress him anymore, for he knows it is transient. the only thing permanent is the truth, the self.

good question. the reason we are afraid is because our mind is telling us not to do whatever it is you’re about to do so we don’t endanger ourselves. if we had no fear we’d probably die really soon. we need fear to ensure our existence as humans.

I often look back on my life and ask myself, how would my life be different if I had made my choices based on love instead of fear.
Our nature is what it is…. it is trust that conquers fear.
The hardest person to trust is often ourselves.

If you fear, every little thing that comes your way, you will never be able to conquer Fear.

FEAR IS NOT TO BE, FEARED.
Fear, is something to relish as it can be the catalyst in making a decision that will bring rich rewards. Rich Rewards, by your standards.

Of Course, Fear induces CAUTION, and that caution may make you make a decision, that’ll be to your benefit.

In the words, long past ‘YOU HAVE NOTHING TO FEAR, BUT FEAR ITSELF’

Q: What will your life be without fear?
A: What life? Without fear, it will be so easy to die.
You will cross the freeway because you want to go to the
other side. You will go to the deep part of the ocean even
if you do not know how to swim.

Q: How responsible are we for own own fears?
A: Fear has been instilled on our psyche at a very young
age by parents, school, government, church and
community. So everyone who wanted you to live is
responsible. As you grew up, you were supposed to
continue that survival pattern and pass it on to the next
generation.
