In terms of conquering a fear, how do you conquer the fear of inevitability?

by FearLessDoMore on January 31, 2010

Was curious to know what you all thought on how to conquer a fear of things that you cannot change, and know are going to happen. Inevitability, how do you conquer that? I can see how to overcome a fear of relationships or dogs or success..but what about inevitability?

Thanks in Advance…

There are only two inevitabilities- death and taxes. To conquer fear of death, learn to live in the moment and do esteemable things.

"Do not go gentle into that goodnight,…
Rage, rage against the dying of the light."
(Dylan Thomas)

The poem expresses Thomas’s feelings at his father’s deathbed, but its meaning is often extended to cover how one ought to face other, somewhat less inevitable ‘inevitabilities.’

I would think that to conquer a fear of inevitability, one would have to learn to let go. A person cannot control every single aspect of their lives. Every action they take has a reaction, and certain things are going to be inevitable.

Well…lunatic has discovered that you are ’seeking’ God in some way, judging by some of your other questions. Jesus said…"I AM the Way the Truth and the Life. NO MAN comes to the Father (God) but by ME!". Maybe you should start by looking into the sacrifice God made for you to find Him.
