thoven8 12.11.09 at 12:18 am

bwadsp 12.11.09 at 12:18 am

fastguy001 12.11.09 at 12:18 am

go to heights

dukalink6000 12.11.09 at 12:18 am

Put yourself in a situation where you control your fear.

Perhaps a ladder where you go up and down until you have some degree of control.

My wife had a choice to make, because it was part of her job. She went up in the tall, partially built buildings.

She stays away from the edge and is cautious.

Does she still have a fear of heights? Yes, but she doesn’t let it rule her.

Ride the Kingda Ka rollercoaster

brian_h_1998 12.11.09 at 12:18 am

Just don’t look down below you.

sweet&sexy 12.11.09 at 12:18 am

try going on roller coasters and not closing your eyes try a ride that maybe goes strisght up and look out at your surrounding glass elevators can help look out while it goes up too see that it is nothing that can hurt you just gradually do things that require you to be up high then you will get used to it i used to be terrified of heights until my father made me get on the tower of terror t an amusement park and i saw nothing would happen to me

Fly in an airplane.

saphiestar 12.11.09 at 12:18 am

Go to the roof of a small building and if you’re really scared, bring a friend. Start going to taller buildings until you feel as if you can look down without getting freaked out or nauseous.

emmaleeloganb 12.11.09 at 12:18 am

successive approximation. . . start low and get higher and higher

stay on the ground!

No seriously Dika right, sensitise yourself to heights, visualisation can help, and dont think it just cos youre frightened - some people jusy get quezzy, i get sea-sick but im not frightened, just makes me nauseous.

If you really terrified and need to get used to heights, try therapy which will help.

maria_cd_in_training 12.11.09 at 12:18 am

go for a ride in a hot air balloon. its a great ride, only about 1 - 1.5 hours.

angelmae 12.11.09 at 12:18 am

go on a roller coaster or jump off into a waterfall.

sleepyguy901 12.11.09 at 12:18 am

I would say that you’d get better answers by putting this question in the psychology category.

KJ 12.11.09 at 12:18 am

You just keep on getting up high and get used to the feeling of being up high and your fear will go away.

justin l 12.11.09 at 12:18 am

No one can ever get rid of a fear completly, it is only natural to be afraid of hights. What we can do is to train ourself to be able to act in spite of that fear. As long as you can act and be confident in the face of your fear then it is concured.

valcus43 12.11.09 at 12:18 am

Seems to me that all of the answers related to going bungee jumping or jumping off cliffs are called "implosion therapy" where you are just exposed to a lot of what you fear.
There is another therapy called "systematic desensitization" where you are asked to imagine a little height then think a pleasant thought then think of another thought about heights and so on. Then later actually go to a moderately high place and increase that. I think that’s kind of how it works.
Good luck.

Get on a plane!

goawayisleepdays 12.11.09 at 12:18 am

OMG some of the answers are so funny. I can just see me tying a cloth over my eyes and jumping off the bed head first.

Personally, I have a fear of heights and I’m doing just fine without any treatment LOL!

chikagirl001 12.11.09 at 12:18 am

take an airplane whenever you have the chance.
It’s safe and a lot of fun to look out the window and seeing clouds below you and clouds above you.
What is really fun on the airplane is when you are flying over the ocean, I love flying over the ocean, nothing but water below you and if you are lucky and look down in the ocean you may see a tiny little island form high in the sky.
And now they have TVs in the airplanes so you can watch a movie so then you can just watch a movie instead of worring about you being thousands feet in the sky.
I love traveling by plane it especially when it is time to land. The pilot goes up and down up and down up and down. So much fun.

duc602 12.11.09 at 12:18 am

When you face your fear it is no longer fear.

jyd9999 12.11.09 at 12:18 am

stay on the ground

fconrad6233 12.11.09 at 12:18 am

just get up their and do the job. I am afade of heights but i work at heights above 100ft vary often . I am very nerves at first then I’m OK . Its just mind over mater.

jelesais2000 12.11.09 at 12:18 am

Find out where you learned it. You can challenge yourself to do things a little at a time. How high is too high? Go just over that, and do three things, then do it again until you no longer find that height scary. Challenge yourself some more until you’ve gained confidence in your ability to handle it at whatever height. Have fun doing it.

brettbrissaw 12.11.09 at 12:18 am

don’t look down

limp 12.11.09 at 12:18 am

i have the same fear as you do,what i did is not to think of it especially when i am in tall places just dont look down and avert your attention to other scenes…& its all in the mind bro…mind over matter….

leowin1948 12.11.09 at 12:18 am

Use a ladder.Cimb step by step each day, till your fear is off.another way is dont look below

funbucket1 12.11.09 at 12:18 am

Repeated exposure will lessen the effect until it is has dwindled away.

bobounumpty 12.11.09 at 12:18 am

wish I knew have same prob just don’t go higher than i can go which ain’t very high oh well aim high or just like feet on ground that high enough for me
