Christians… Do we preach the Gospel on faith or on fear,?

Christians… Do we preach the Gospel on faith or on fear, for example, If you don’t love the lord your God you will burn in hell with so much torture and suffering, or do we preach in love and in truth, if you can, get some quotes from the Bible, this would be most helpful.

We should be preaching the gospel on faith. All you have to do is look at the way Jesus taught, and read the sermons in the book of Acts. The apostles didn’t try to scare their converts into making a decision; they presented the truth, and gave the good news of eternal life by faith in Christ. Gospel means GOOD NEWS. Christians who talk about hellfire aren’t even preaching the gospel. That’s bad news. We need to spend our time telling people what a good God we have, how He loves them, and how they can have eternal life, not how they need to give up their drinking, fornicating and other sins or they will burn in hell. It is not those sins that send a person to hell. All those sins are forgiven and God doesn’t judge us for those.

Man is only judged on one sin- whether or not he believes in Jesus as Lord. So we need to tell them about Jesus, and quit playing judge and jury on sins that even God doesn’t hold them accountable for anymore.

We preach both the love and judgement of God.

Mar 16:15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.
Mar 16:16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.

Mat 23:33 Ye serpents, ye generation of vipers, how can ye escape the damnation of hell?

1Jn 3:16 Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.

I’m not sure of the verses, but why would we "threaten" into coming to meet the Lord?
We should do it out of faith, but also let them know of the consequences there will be if they do not choose the Lord. <3

Most christians are christians because they have a babyish fear of hell that their brainwashed childlike parents instilled in them. It’s silly and foolish but hey the muslims say you christians are all going to hell anyway. It’s clear to anyone with half a brain that both of these death cults are dependent on fear and childhood indoctrination.

Easy… LOVE!

God is the God of love, the only reason we EXIST is because he out-poured his love into creation. His request is that we are included in His love and include others by telling them of that great love.

That’s how the Trinity is held together. Reciprocating love. It’s complete, perfect love! And God wants us in the middle. That’s what I would tell people and what I believe. You only fear God correctly when you are aware of how lacking you are in love.

Preach the Gospel of Jesus which is salvation because he loves us. The rest they will learn in their relationship with Jesus.

You will only feel burning and torture in hell or the grave if you want to live eternally in the presence of God. But if you passed through this life without knowing and loving God, then you do not want to go to heaven and hell is your free choice. So how can you suffer in hell?

Without Faith it is impossible to please God. I am sure you are familiar with that scripture.
Faith is the basis for all scripture. So your answer is Faith.
Faith is from the Lord.
Fear comes from the devil.

Your fire and brimstone message would sure have the people wanting to hang you from the yard arm.
Where is the love SIS?

Faith is why we should preach. I don’t know if fear is the right way to put it. You should respect God because He does have control of you soul. But then it is on faith and love for others. God doesn’t want anyone to go to hell and He doesn’t send you there you send yourself when you deny Jesus. It say that God doesn’t wish any should perish but all have everlasting life. I preach the gospel of Jesus to share the hope and love God has for His people. Also to help those who are lost and on the way to hell be set free by Gods mercy and grace. And because the Lord says to go out and preach His gospel.

You have to preach from both sides of it. One without the other doesn’t work in gods truth.

If you preach hellfire and brimstone, then you lose those who are looking for his love and his kindness.
If you preach love and kindness , then you lose those who were scared in by the previous.

There must be an equal balance

Prior to His ascension to heaven,Jesus left his disciples a commission and that was to "Go therefore and make disciples of people of all the nations………teaching them to observe all the things I have commanded you…….."(Mat28:19,20)
As one of Jehovah’s Witnesses and a disciple of Christ, it is out of love for Jehovah and obedience to Jesus that Jehovah’s Witnesses go out and spread the Good News about God and His Kingdom.

If I had a man and we were in love I would want to tell people about him, show him off, what I found out, all his good qualities, people that didn’t "get it" I would defend him.

I preach the Good news of the Kingdom for my love of my loving God Jehovah.

There is no burning hell, the thought of burning people in a fire never occurred to God.

Jeremiah 7:31

So first comes love, and with that love is faith in all the promises I guess. And since Jehovah God has NEVER let me down and I dO know it will work out I have confidence in all his promises.

There is no fear factor with me.

No burning hell.
EVERY single person born on this Earth in the last 6,000 + years has died, gone to sleep and rests in dust, so of course I accept that.

Would I go sing the praises of an abuser or torturer, someone that demands I tell people about his and his qualities or burn?

No IF there was a burn I wouldn’t give him thesatisfactionn, knowing that was the punishment,
why?

I find it bizarre people preach that nonsense. And I find it bizarre they could love someone that they even THINK could offer that in exchange for their "devotion"

How many children do we see now a days so abused, can you imagine them going up to people to tell them how wonderful a parent is because if they don’t they will be tortured forever in unimaginable pain?

Think about it.

I preach a God of love and order, and I preach the Good news about his kingdom that one day,
sickness, death and pain will be done away with. I preach that he cares for us, and I preach because I love him and his promises.

Otherwise don’believeve me and be like everyone else that died before them and sleep in dust.
