who are these people that are scared to be powerful beyond measure? and more importantly… what the hell is wrong with them? this quote seems to kinda just be stupid.

It’s not stupid at all. Think about what comes with power, like the ability to lose it or have it taken away from you.
If we are inadequate, we have something to strive for. If we are powerful, particularly over others, we have nothing left to strive for. We can’t truly trust the motives of others and we have to watch for those who would try to take what we have.
If we are powerful, we have responsibilities, like using our power in an ethical manner, over a self-serving manner. That’s not easy for most people.
Also, if you are really good at something a few times, it puts pressure on you to continue to be good. Think of the star quarterback. Everyone counts on him having a good game every time. What if he doesn’t? A lot of people don’t want that responsibility to others. If you are only average, no one expects you to be more than average. If you have one good day, then people are happy for you. But if you’re always great and you have a bad day, people feel you’ve let them down.
because we have to be scared of power
men keep making nuclear bombs , arent you worried ?
we have the ability to keep inventing make smaller computers big more powerful bombs , because men have the urge motivation and find ways to make things
so we are not ceoncentrating on living peacefully and enjoying nature
next we will find something if you press a button one country will dissappear
doesnt all this make you scared ?
tomorrow they will make itlegal to insert a chip on all new born babies so when you grow up they can watch your exact postion and what you do even when you having sex and if you are a suspect they can either kill you with a button which fires a missile exactly to your home or just bang open your residence because even if you are inchina they will know exactly where you are
next the technology for making yourself invisible is around the corner. arent you afraid ?

Ok it means that people are scared of success i know this sounds strange but people feel that sometimes if you rise above all ..you might fall on your face on dayy..it can also mean that sometimes we feel that we do not deserve all this power to be good and great and we ask ourselves why would gos give us this gift ..and we are scared because we feel that we will take advantage of this gift and someday..a lot of pwer becomes great responsibility….
