by FearLessDoMore on September 7, 2010

Life has many instances in which one must choose whether to stand apart from the group and disagree with his peers or to nod strongly in agreement and quickly seek security as a part of the group. Many choose to follow the crowd because of the fear of rejection. They hang tightly to the bumper of the car of acceptance not worrying of the cuts and scrapes they are suffering as they struggle to hold on. Others painfully watch the car drive over the horizon and reassure themselves continually that it was worth it to stay behind. When we are older and look upon our past, we will realize that the courage to dissent or assent during our lifetimes can cause us either regret or contentment.

its mostly about hanging on and never giving up courage…find me a QUOTES..IVE BEENN SERACHING FOR AGES!!

Two roads diverged in a wood, and I… I took the one less traveled by, and that has made all the difference."

I looked and looked for you, turned the leaves of every book, scoured every book shelf, accessed every database on the subject, even repaired to the ivy towered thinkers in every hallowed hall of thought; then I did go up into the mountains midst the immortals and rarified mountain air and there I found the quotations — all of them — that you were looking for, at the closing of which was written and signed –"Lost Soul."

How angry did I grow, for I realized the answer lay within you all the while.

"It has always been difficult for the individual to keep from being overwhelmed by the tribe. If you do that, you will be lonely often, and sometimes scared….but no price is too high to pay for the privilege of owning yourself".

-Friedrich Nietzsche-

"Ironic that one would ask for a quote about a perceived truth that deals with having the courage to be an individual, for it would seem that by asking for these words from others that they are displaying the oposite of what it is that they profess to believe."

John Galt 09.07.10 at 12:01 am

"Throughout the centuries there were men who took first steps, down new roads, armed with nothing but their own vision.”

Ayn Rand
