In the Lord of the Flies, how does Jack, Piggy, and Simon react to the fear of the beast?

Please also include some quotes from the book that proves each characters reaction. I got lost at this part of the story and need help. Thanks

In chapter 2, one of the littleluns mentions a snake thing, a beastie, which sends fear throughout the group. They debate its existence and determine the littleluns were having nightmares.

In chapter 5, the subject of the beast is brought up. Simon suggests that they are the beasts. Then he got made fun of.

In chapter 7, When Jack, Ralph and Roger agree to scale the mountain, the three see the dead parachutist who they mistake for the beasts and run away as fast as they can. That was Jack’s reaction.

And I’m not sure about Piggy…he probably had no comment. He wanted more than anybody else to be rescued.
