What do you believe this quote means?

by FearLessDoMore on February 9, 2010

To be free, a man must be free of his brothers.

Also,

It is the mind which thinks, and the judgement of my mind is the only searchlight that can find the truth.

And we thought that we could trust this being who looked upon us from the stream, and that we had nothing to fear with this being.

These quotes are all from Anthem, by Ayn Rand. I was just hoping on a clarification on what you think these meant.
Just getting some ideas Gustaf. Geez

Thanks everyone that helped

Do not care what people think about you.

It means you can’t let others influence you.
Ayn Rand is really big on individualism, just remember that.

1. means you need to be independent and not let your friends or family make decisions for you
2. think with your brain, not your heart or any other body parts to find true feelings/truth
3. people who you think you can trust may not always be who you think they are
