That hope does nothing the same as fear does. They are both felt but they are Truly empty, void of any good use. Fear may keep you alive in some instances but it’s hardly desirable and is much hated and drives people to great evils.
In the same way hope is empty. It can comfort you but it also tries to negate the reality of things. It can allow you to live in squalor by hoping you can leave but it really doesn’t make any action towards anything.
